What is the aim of the St. Ivo Racquets Club?

The Club is one of a number of specialist Clubs based at the St. Ivo Outdoor Centre. It caters for all those who wish to enjoy social or competitive squash.

What do I get for my membership fee?
Your membership fee entitles you to enter the monthly leagues. The Club currently runs two squash leagues: mixed and juniors. In addition, you may be invited to represent your Club by playing in one of the four teams (three mens and one ladies) we enter in the Cambridgeshire SRA leagues. The Club also organises a number of social events throughout the year that you can attend at preferential rates. You will also automatically become a member of 'England Squash'.
Tennis commenced in'98 and attracted many family members to club nights; leagues and tournaments are envisaged running along similar guidelines to squash.

What sort of Tournaments do you run?
We organise up to four Tournaments a year. The ‘Turkey’ event, held around Christmas time is a handicapped tournament whereby all players can compete on an equal basis. The Club Championship is a straight knock-out event. The ‘Team’ Tournament is one of our most popular events where players are divided into teams with players of differing ability in each team. Matches are then played between the teams with players of an equal standard.

What do you offer for those who don’t want to play competitive squash?

By joining as a Social member, you can meet other like-minded people who play to keep
fit but do not want to enter the leagues. You may still attend Club Nights if you feel
like it and of course, you can go to all our social events at preferential rates.

What Social Events do you run?
These vary from year to year but include Quiz Nights, Bowling Evenings, Golf Days, Barbecues and the Christmas Dinner & Dance.
